COVID-19: Updates From The Eco Shop

Dear friends of The Eco Shop, 

We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and sane in these worrying times. 

As we all continue to adapt to the challenges, we want to update you on what we're doing at The Eco Shop to protect our team whilst ensuring we can continue to provide all of your eco essentials. 

Shopping

We are currently open, as normal. Fortunately, as we are an online business we are exempt from restrictions other businesses are facing. We are fully stocked on all eco essentials, and we have contacted all of our key suppliers who have reassured us that their supply chains are currently unaffected.

Shipping Costs

We have reduced our minimum spend for free shipping from $50 to $25 to help support our customers during this difficult time. 

Courier Service

Our preferred courier is Sendle, and they have confirmed they are open for business and have asked that all businesses and customers practice social distancing and good hygiene practices, and have provided the following update:

  • As an ‘essential service,’ Sendle is fully operational - picking up and delivering parcels to all states and territories in Australia.
  • Signature on Delivery’ parcels may be changed to ‘Authority to Leave’ in order to reduce the contact necessary between customer and driver and where the driver deems it safe and secure to do so. Our delivery drivers will take a signature on behalf of customers if they wish.
  • Sendle ‘pickup’ is a safe option if you are self isolating at home or avoiding contact with others. Make sure your parcel is left in a safe place as per your pickup instructions.
  • Due to the cancellation of an increasing number of international flights and country specific lockdowns, overseas transit times may be delayed by up to seven days.

Health & Safety

We have implemented new procedures to ensure health & safety is prioritised above all else. Social distancing tactics have been applied, and strict cleanliness measures are being taken in our warehouse, including regular cleaning within the space, and frequent hand sanitisation for those involved with packing parcels. No one in our warehouse has been in contact with anyone who is connected with a Coronavirus case.
